Richardson Properties Ranked #1 in Total Property Sales Volume in SLO County

[San Luis Obispo, CA, January 20, 2020] Richardson Properties, San Luis Obispo’s leading independent real estate brokerage, today announced it achieved the highest total sales volume in San Luis Obispo County during 2020. According to the Multiple Listing Service market share report, Richardson Properties’ total sales for all property types in SLO County was $402,683,000, and $372,488,000 for all residential properties last year.   

 

“This is an achievement we’re extremely proud of,” said Chris Richardson, President of Richardson Properties. “You normally see the larger franchises occupy the top spots on these lists, so it’s a significant milestone for a small, boutique agency like us. It’s also a real testament to our team and the approach we’ve taken over the years to adapt, stay ahead of the curve and always put our clients first.” 

 

Despite the many challenges that were faced by the team due to Covid-19, Richardson Properties beat the odds to have their most successful year. “There were certainly a few factors that helped the real estate market last year,” continued Richardson. “Low interest rates were attractive for buyers and demand was high for those selling properties, in part due to the county seeing an influx of people moving to the area from big cities. “With remote working becoming the new normal, we had buyers from bigger cities coming to SLO looking for a better quality of life and a lower cost of living, which increased demand.”
